10:30 - 1:00am - Deltaphonic - New Orleans, LA

deltaphonicsDeltaphonic is a band you will remember; a New Orleans based duo that plays with a maniacal, yet cohesive musical energy. Inspired by musical and lyrical giants such as Tom Waits, Taj Mahal, ‘Mississippi’ John Hurt, Dr. John, Jimi Hendrix, and Townes Van Zandt, Deltaphonic experiments with classic sounds and garnishes the result with lyrics that oscillate between extreme satire and affection. On stage, Deltaphonic is all energy, a duo with a surprisingly big sound that often includes a horn section, elaborate costumes, and bizarre banter.

Since their formation on New Orleans’ Frenchmen Street in 2014, Deltaphonic has played hundreds of shows across the country. They recently released their debut album, Texas, Texas, and are currently working on their next EP, which they plan to exemplify their self coined “hill country disco” sound.

jackiemyersThe sound of blue-eyed soul.  Beautiful, captivating, complex, and always with an edge.  That’s the sound of the Jackie Myers.  Some call the style “groove” or “funk.”  Others don’t try to name it and just like to listen to the flavors of blues, jazz, funk, and soul.  It’s a sound that Patrick Dennis of Austin’s Mix 94.7 called “fabulous.” The Austin-based Jackie Myers can sometimes be found packing the best venues in Austin. At other times this travelling troubadour can be found in San Antonio, Dallas, or relentlessly touring all across America, playing all manner of clubs, venues, and festivals.

lonesomeThe Lonesome Heroes might as well print “Cosmic American” on their passports. The Austin, TX based group may hail from the “Live Music Capital of the World,” but their sound suggests they originate from a parallel universe where the works of Gram Parsons, Beck, and Wilco propagate.  Austin's KUTX describes them as “the soundscape that occurs when indie rock and country artfully cross paths.” The Lonesome Heroes have shared festivals and stages with countless up and coming and established acts including: Shakey Graves, Wild Child, Wayne "The Train" Hancock, The California Honey Drops, Easy Leaves, Turnpike Troubadours, Amanda Shires, and Whiskey Shivers just to name a few.
